Starting today, April 8th, members may notice the iconic “block M” branding they are accustomed to has been updated across our platforms.
Over the last eight months, we have seen how MFI has been extremely valuable not just to those in the financial careers space, but also other critical areas like networking and college admissions. Since the fall, our rapid expansion has been in large part due to those across our channels and guides for admission, most prominently for Community College students pursuing transfer, totalling over 250 members for just this topic alone.
MFI was founded on the idea of leveling the playing field for individuals across backgrounds, and in subject areas where the existing industry scatters or obscures the best resources. This mission, as our growth has demonstrated, is relevant to many specialized topic areas beyond what MFI was created to solve. We are thrilled to welcome this change, spur further impact, and we will be maintaining the finance and workshop style content even when our name is updated later this year.
Until such time when updated naming is announced, our new logo has been updated across the organization. My hometown of Cedar Rapids is known as the City of Five Seasons, and the new image of MFI takes from the local five seasons statue, a rememberance to where it started regardless of how far or where the organization goes. We’ve also added one more point to the visual, extending the idea of the five seasons motto of ‘growing, learning, working and enjoying’, to include one more point—sharing.
